Installation

Install the desktop package and activate inside the app.

1. Get the desktop package

The current package names are:

• Windows: CAN_DBC_Utility_2.0.3_windows-setup.zip
• Linux DEB: CAN_DBC_Utility_2.0.3_amd64.deb
• Linux RPM: CAN_DBC_Utility-2.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm

2. Install the app

• On Windows, extract the ZIP and run the included NSIS setup .exe.
• On Debian or Ubuntu, install the DEB package.
• On Fedora, RHEL, or openSUSE, install the RPM package.

The desktop package includes the Python processing engine. A separate Python installation is not required.

3. Activate

Open the desktop app and enter the license key when prompted. Activation is handled inside the desktop app.

4. Install translation models

Translation language packs are not bundled with the installer. Open Translate, choose Models, and install the German and English Argos language packs once before the first translation.

5. Start working

Use the home screen to open View, Edit, New DBC, Log Analyzer, or a recent file. Translate becomes available after a DBC file is open.
